KSRTC to Operate 1,500 Special Buses for Ganesh Festival.
The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has made elaborate arrangements to facilitate passengers during the Gauri Ganesh festival. KSRTC Managing Director Akram Pasha announced that 1,500 special buses will operate from Bengaluru to various cities and districts across the state on August 25 and 26. For return journeys, special buses will run from various inter-district and inter-state locations to Bengaluru on August 27 and 31.
These special buses will operate from Kempegowda Bus Station, Bengaluru, to destinations such as Dharmasthala, Kukke Subramanya, Shimoga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Sringeri, Hornadu, Davangere, Hubli, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppal, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, and other places. Special buses from Mysuru Road Bus Station will be available for Mysuru, Hunsur, Piriyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalnagar, and Madikeri. Additionally, premier special buses will operate from Shanti Nagar (BMTC, TTMC) Bus Station to Madurai, Kumbakonam, Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, and other destinations in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

A 5% discount will be offered for groups of four or more passengers booking together, and a 10% discount will be provided for booking both onward and return journeys simultaneously.
Furthermore, KSRTC has set up special booking counters in major cities across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Puducherry, Maharashtra, and Goa. The administration has urged passengers to board buses only at the boarding points specified in their reservation tickets.
