Haj 2026: Second Installment, New Waiting List Clearance, Mahram Quota & Medical Guidelines Announced
1,266 Pilgrims from Karnataka Cleared from Waiting List; Payment Deadline October 31
Mumbai / Bengaluru, October 14 (Haqeeqat Times):
The Haj Committee of India (Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India) has issued four important circulars (Nos. 14 to 17) concerning Haj 2026 (1447H). According to Khizr Hussain, President – Mysuru Zone, All India Haj Welfare Society (Karnataka Unit), the circulars cover the second installment payment, new waiting list selection, Mahram quota, and updated medical guidelines.
Second Installment ₹1,25,000 — Deadline: October 31, 2025
All selected pilgrims, including those temporarily cleared from the waiting list, must deposit the second installment of ₹1,25,000 by October 31, 2025.
Payment methods:
- Online: Through the Haj Suvidha app or website www.hajcommittee.gov.in via credit/debit card or net banking.
- Offline: At any branch of State Bank of India or Union Bank of India, in the Haj Committee account using the “Unique Bank Reference Number.”
The third and final installment will be announced later once airfare and other costs are finalized.
Note: Failure to pay by the due date may lead to cancellation of the pilgrim’s seat.
Second Waiting List Announced — 7,636 New Pilgrims Selected
The Haj Committee has released the second waiting list, selecting 7,636 new pilgrims.
For Karnataka, pilgrims with waiting list numbers 3412 to 4678 have been cleared.
These pilgrims must pay a total of ₹2,77,300 (First installment ₹1,52,300 + Second installment ₹1,25,000) by October 31, 2025.
Required documents (submission deadline: November 5, 2025):
- Signed Haj Application Form
- Payment receipt / online transaction copy
- Medical examination and fitness certificate (as per Haj Committee format)
500 Seats under Mahram Quota Announced
As per Circular No. 16, a special Mahram quota of 500 seats has been allocated for Haj 2026.
This provision is for women who could not apply earlier, while their Mahram (close male relative) has already been selected.
Application period: October 16–31, 2025 (Online only) at www.hajcommittee.gov.in.
Key requirements:
- Valid passport till December 31, 2026
- Upload of passport copy, photo, address proof, and relationship certificate with Mahram
State Haj Committees will verify applications by November 5, 2025.
If applications exceed 500, selection will be done through digital draw of lots (Qurrah).
Updated Health & Vaccination Guidelines for Haj 2026
According to Circular No. 17, the Saudi Ministry of Haj and Umrah has introduced new medical requirements for Haj 2026.
Only medically fit pilgrims will be allowed. The following categories will not be permitted:
- Patients with kidney, heart, lung, or liver failure
- Those with severe mental or neurological disorders
- Patients with active contagious diseases (e.g., TB, hemorrhagic fever)
- Pregnant women, especially in the last trimester or with high-risk pregnancies
COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory.
Pilgrims must show proof of either the 2025–26 updated dose or complete vaccination from 2021–24.
