DJ systems and high-volume sound equipment will no longer be allowed in Belagavi district. In order to maintain public peace, health, and law and order, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Mohammed Roshan has issued an important order imposing strict restrictions.
According to the order, the use of DJ systems and sound-amplifying equipment that produce excessive noise during festivals, processions, and public events across Belagavi district has been prohibited with immediate effect. The decision was taken based on reports submitted by the Police Commissioner and the Superintendent of Police. Until further orders, the use of DJ systems, bass boosters, and mobile DJ vehicles has been completely banned.
Special measures have also been introduced to control noise pollution within 100 meters of residential areas, hospitals, schools, courts, and religious places.
Authorities have warned that if anyone violates the order, the event will be immediately stopped, DJ equipment will be confiscated, electricity supply may be disconnected, and legal action will be taken against those responsible. Police have been given full authority to enforce the order.
The order further clarifies that in unavoidable situations, prior permission from the police department is mandatory for using sound equipment within the permitted noise limits.
