To ensure smoother movement of traffic and pedestrians in the urban areas of Belagavi, authorities have implemented a one-way traffic system on the busy Raviwar Peth and Kalmath Road stretches.

Both roads have a high concentration of shops on either side, leading to heavy vehicular congestion and significant public movement, which has been severely affecting traffic flow. After collecting public feedback, officials noted that over 86% of local residents supported the move, with unanimous agreement in favor of implementing one-way traffic.

As per the new arrangement:

  1. Raviwar Peth Road will operate one-way from east to west, starting from Pimpal Katta via Karnataka Chowk towards Nargundkar Bhave Chowk.
  2. Kalmath Road will operate one-way from west to east, from Nargundkar Bhave Chowk towards Pimpal Katta.

Authorities, including Belagavi City Police, have urged the public to strictly follow the new traffic regulations and cooperate to ensure smooth and safe movement across the area.
