Belagavi: CM Siddaramaiah inaugurates e-Khata system; appointment orders and house ownership documents distributed

Belagavi, December 18 :
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday formally inaugurated the e-Khata system at a function held at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha, organised jointly by the Department of Urban Development, the Directorate of Municipal Administration and the Belagavi City Corporation.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also launched a programme to distribute appointment orders to urban sanitation and municipal workers and to hand over house ownership (house patta) documents to eligible beneficiaries.

The programme was presided over by Chairman of the Legislative Council Basavaraj Horatti. Ministers Byrathi Suresh, Rahim Khan and M.C. Sudhakar, Government of Karnataka Legal Adviser Ponnanna, Legislative Council Chief Whip Saleem Ahmed, Council member Ivan D’Souza, MLA Srinivas, and several other dignitaries were present.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the implementation of the e-Khata system would enhance transparency in urban governance and ensure that property-related services are delivered to citizens in a more simple and efficient manner.
