No heavy vehicle will be allowed to enter the city during these hours. Violations will attract action under Section 177 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
In 2025 alone, 1,001 cases were registered for violation of the no-entry rule, and a total fine of ₹4,17,050 was collected.
Three Designated Pick-up and Drop Points for Private Buses
To reduce traffic congestion, private long-distance buses have been prohibited from picking up or dropping passengers at random locations within the city.
📅 Effective from January 27, 2026, private buses will be allowed to pick up and drop passengers only at the following three designated locations:
- Bharatesh School – Pay Parking
- Open space behind Belagavi One Centre, Ashok Nagar – Pay Parking

Stopping buses to pick up passengers at Triveni Hotel, RTO Circle, Ramdev Hotel, Dharmaveer Sambhaji Chowk, and other such locations has been completely banned.
Warning of Strict Action
